Peter Kirn is a Berlin-based composer, audiovisual artist, journalist, and founder/editor of createdigitalmusic.com. He is also teaches and develops free technologies, and is co-creator of the open source MeeBlip synth. His music and visuals draw on a classical training in composition and piano, while melding minimalist and experimental dance music influences with a focus on texture and abstraction.
Speakers :
Sougwen Chung (US/CA), is a Canadian-born, Chinese-raised, and Brooklyn-based artist. Her work is a hybrid of traditional art and the immersive possibilities of new technologies. She presents her exhibition : Chiaroscuro at the Contemporary Art Building.
Alex Smoke (UK), is a Scottish talent making electronic records that blurs together European minimalism, pop structures and emotional strings and pads. He has released two full-length albums, Incommunicado and Paradolia (Soma Records) and a slew of singles and remixes, many of which have arrived on Soma and German label Vakant. He returns with a new musical undertaking in the form of Wraetlic (Convex Industries).
